Iran VPN Setup Guide

Learn how to download OpenVPN, import your configuration file, and connect to an Iranian IP address using the IRConnect Iran VPN service.

1. Get Your Iran VPN Connection Details

After purchasing an Iran VPN plan, your username, password, and OpenVPN configuration file will be available in your IRConnect account. These details are required to connect to an Iranian IP address and should not be shared with anyone else.

To get your connection details:

  • Sign in to your IRConnect account.
  • Open the “My Services” section.
  • Select your active service.
  • View your username and password.
  • Download the OpenVPN configuration file.

Keep the configuration file in a secure location and do not share it with other users.

2. Download and Install OpenVPN

To use the Iran VPN service from abroad, download and install the appropriate version of OpenVPN for your device.

OpenVPN is available for:

  • Windows
  • macOS
  • Android
  • iOS

After downloading OpenVPN, install the application and allow it to create a VPN connection when requested by your operating system.

For better security, download OpenVPN only from its official website or a trusted direct download link.

3. Import the OpenVPN Configuration File

Open the OpenVPN application and select the option to import a profile or configuration file.

Then:

  • Select the configuration file downloaded from your IRConnect account.
  • Add the IRConnect profile to OpenVPN.
  • Enter your service username and password.
  • Save your login details if needed.

Once the profile has been added, your Iran VPN service will appear in the OpenVPN connection list.

4. Connect to an Iranian IP Address

Select the IRConnect profile in OpenVPN and press the connect button.

When the status changes to Connected, your device is connected through an Iranian IP address. You can now access supported Iranian websites, platforms, and online services.

Keep OpenVPN connected while you need an Iran IP. Use the Disconnect option when you no longer need the VPN connection.

5. Troubleshoot Iran VPN Connection Issues

If the VPN does not connect, check the following:

  • Your internet connection is active.
  • The username and password are correct.
  • The configuration file belongs to your active service.
  • OpenVPN is updated to the latest version.
  • No other VPN connection is active.
  • The date and time on your device are correct.

Restart your internet connection or device and try connecting to the VPN with an Iran IP address again.

If the problem continues, contact IRConnect support and include your device type, operating system, and the displayed error message. Do not send passwords, banking information, or verification codes.
